When people around the world were asked what makes Canadian beef great, they told us it was the good things about Canada itself, and that “we put the best of Canada into our beef”. To celebrate that global love for Canadian beef, we’ve planned culinary events hosted by our Canada Beef offices in their home countries. Details of the celebrations as they happen shared here.
The Canadian Beef Culinary Celebration: Canada
What was It?: A celebration of Canadian beef at the family dinner table.
Where & When: April 6, at the Canadian Beef Centre of Excellence, Calgary, Alberta (the heart of cattle country)
Who Came: media families and special guest Paul Brant!
What Happened: The Ultimate Burger Battle – family teams (parents and kids) cooked up their favourite 100% Canadian beef burgers in a friendly tasting competition. The most appealing burger won. And of course, Paul Brant sang.
What is it? A celebration of Canadian beef at a culinary gala event starring leading Mexico celebrity chefs.

The Canadian Beef Culinary Celebration: Taiwan
What was it?: A celebration of Canadian beef Loved at Global Tables.
Where & When: Oct 20, at Sonoma Grill Steak & Teppenyaki Taipei
Who Came: Leading Media and food influencers
What Happened: A dual main course set menu using Canadian beef Prime Short Rib and Prime Rib Eye to present culinary excellence with the creation of a global cuisine menu. Chef Jimmy Chen is one of the first people in Taiwan to celebrate the joy of ‘Steak Culture’. He has more than 20 years of experience in culinary circles and is known as the ‘Premium Steak Gatekeeper’ in Taiwan.
