The Brand - June 2013
The latest Communication resource from Canada Beef Inc. is launching this month. The Brand newsletter will now be distributed eight times each year as a monthly email newsletter, sharing the corporate initiatives and operations of the staff and board of directors. The remaining four issues will be the quarterly expanded versions that will continue to be printed and distributed through the provinces. As always these resources will be housed on the www.CanadaBeef.ca/producer website.We hope you enjoy this new source of information on the business of Canada Beef Inc.
Canada Beef - Committed to telling the Canadian beef story

Canada Beef is committed to telling the Canadian beef story. The latest promotion for meeting this objective is a great contest we have just launched- in partnership with Travel Alberta. The goal for this contest is to bring consumers out to a ranch in the summer of 2014, have them spend a week with real beef producers and share their story.

FHC 2012 - the 16th International Exhibition for Food, Drink, Hospitality, Foodservice, Bakery and Retail Industries - the biggest and the most important exhibition for the hotel and restaurant industry in China.
Leveraging Positive Beef Nutrition Research

At the end of December 2012, an important health study was released and created a fair bit of buzz in nutrition circles. The study, "The Global Burden of Disease Study (2010)", published in the very high profile journal Lancet, was an examination of a variety of factors with the goal of estimating each one's relative contribution to disease and disability. It is the largest systematic study ever compiled to look at this.

Each year Canada Beef Inc. attends consumer and trade events throughout the United States to increase awareness and understanding of the Canadian Beef Advantage (CBA) across the border. Canada Beef continues to be involved with The American Culinary Federation (ACF) events to educate and communicate directly with chefs on Canadian beef advantages and how those advantages align with the foodservice sector in the United States. Canada Beef representatives held both educational seminars and demonstrations of consumer driven creative cut concepts as part of the ACF - Chefs of Milwaukee event in January.

Longo's Supermarket Launches Canadian Prime Beef Line

Longo's may not be a familiar name to many Canadian beef producers outside Ontario but that may soon change. As of February 2012 the Ontario grocery chain has partnered with Canada Beef Inc. to launch a new Canadian Prime beef line. With 27 stores in Ontario, 4,000 employees and an eight-year run as one of the Financial Post newspaper's 'Top 50 privately managed companies in Canada,' Longo's has "built a reputation on a strong commitment to quality, service and value" that has allowed them to expand their business in the greater-Toronto area since the first store opened in 1962. It also means the chain's desire to create a new high-end, fresh Canadian beef program is a natural fit.
